Positive: The staff who handed me the key was friendly and took the time to show me the unit, allowing me to inspect it before confirming my stay. Although the apartment was totally different from the photos on Booking.com, as I had expected two double beds in the unit, but found one double bed in the bedroom and one sofa bed in the living hall instead, the unit was spotlessly clean and well maintained. After an almost 11-hour flight journey, the accommodation suited our needs perfectly and provided a pleasant place to rest and recharge. The owner was reachable during daytime and responded promptly when we raised concerns about the bathroom drainage issue. The person in charge was also attentive, ensuring we had an adequate supply of toilet paper and drinking water throughout our stay. The location is highly convenient, with plenty of food options within walking distance, grocery stores nearby, and easy access to DiDi transportation. It offered a great opportunity to experience local food and daily life, while the stunning views from the unit made our stay even more enjoyable. Although late check-out was not available, the management office kindly allowed us to store our luggage until we departed for the airport at around 1.30pm on our check-out day, which was greatly appreciated and made our travel arrangements much more convenient. Overall, despite the initial check-in challenges and the discrepancy in room configuration, we had an excellent stay and greatly appreciated the cleanliness, responsiveness, strategic location, and amazing scenery.
Negative: We arrived at the airport almost 12.30am and contacted the owner, who provided a local number for key collection. Unfortunately, no one answered the calls, and the owner became unreachable afterward. No clear check-in instructions were provided, leaving us stranded in the rain at around 2am after being dropped off outside the apartment by a Didi. Fortunately, a helpful food delivery rider showed us how to enter the compound and directed us to the ground-floor office where we could meet the person responsible for handing over the key.
Summary: Overall, we had an excellent 4-day stay. The apartment was sparkling clean and very well maintained.
